Congratulations on your expected little one!! Newborns change SO quickly & they are only small for a very short period of time. I love to capture all of those tiny details of your precious new little one, so that years from now you can re-live & cherish these emotional moments. View our Newborn portfolio below.

Why Hiring a Professional Newborn Photographer is Important

You know the saying "You get what you pay for"? I say this alot about weddings, but it rings true with newborn photography as well.

Let's start with Experience & Newborn Safety. Understanding how to handle a newborn and having the confidence your newborn needs to feel safe and secure is crucial. After years of working with many newborns & being a mom of two of my own kiddos, you can rest comfortably knowing that your little one is in the best of hands. As easy and adorable as these poses look, they take great patience, skill and know-how to properly position your newborn. You won't want to hand your sweet new baby over to just anyone, and you should make sure your photographer is trained and knowledgeable in newborn safety.

Equipment and Education. It seems that everyone can afford a fancy camera these days, but the question is whether they know how to use it? You don't become a professional photographer over night and owning good equipment doesn't make you one. Even though I have been in this business for many years, I am still constantly learning and taking workshops to be sure that I am providing the best final product I possibly can for my clients.

Editing. All of your images are hand-edited and a great deal of time and love goes into each one. I like to keep my images clean & timeless so that they can be cherished for years & years to come!

Booking your session...

I encourage newborn sessions to be booked while you are still pregnant to guarantee a spot on my calendar. I accept a limited number of newborn clients a month, so it's always best to plan ahead! Most clients book their newborn session during their 2nd trimester.

Once you've decided to book your session, a tentative session date will be set up based off of your due date. Since babies rarely come when predicted, our scheduled date can be adjusted depending on your baby's actual arrival. As your due date gets closer, I'll be checking in with you to see how things are going. Once your infant is born, please get in touch with me and we will firm up our date and time together. Newborns photograph best during the first 7 to 14 days of life, so it is very important to contact me as soon as your bundle arrives!

Newborns are photographed in my studio on Mondays and Thursdays at 10am.

Be sure to follow our PREP GUIDE before your session!
