It just wouldn’t be your average wedding season if I wasn’t at the Ranch Golf club multiple times! Danielle & Jacob’s Ranch Golf Club wedding was my 2nd this year (You can see Alyssa & Chris’ June wedding HERE). And it did not disappoint! We had beautiful weather and I loved their classy black & white details. Danielle & Jacob’s wedding had a completely different look and feel than my last one. That just shows how versatile the Ranch can be!

We started the day with getting ready photos and moved into their first look and private vows. I am loving this new private vow trend. It really allows for a more intimate feel on a wedding day. Plus I can move around freely capturing the moments and not have to worry about being disruptive during the ceremony.

Why a First Look?

Danielle & Jacob chose to do a First Look and most of their portraits ahead of time so that they could enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. Doing all of your portraits ahead of time is really great for a wedding day timeline, as it helps couples to not feel so rushed and spend more time with their guests. When we plan for plenty of time for portraits beforehand, I can get a good variety of images!

Just Say NO to the Photo Dash!

Listen, I get the idea, but No. Just say No. Having the wedding couple run to every table to try to get a photo with them before the song is up is a nightmare. For me and for the couple. Not to mention the photos are always HORRIBLE. My recommendation is to have the couple sit on the dancefloor and let the tables come to you!
