What’s better than an intimate backyard winter wedding? One that is in my own backyard! Well, not literally my own yard, but pretty close…my town. Rachel & Dan had an outdoor intimate ceremony with their closest family & friends at their home in North Granby, CT. Not everyone will know this, but Granby is an agricultural town. And since they were having their wedding at their house, Rachel and Dan were able to invite some unique guests — their two horses and two dogs! Just one of the many reasons I love an intimate wedding; it really lets the couple be surrounded with who and what matters most to them on their special day.

Rachel and Dan just moved from Massachusetts to Connecticut this past summer and their intimate backyard wedding was an awesome way to set up their life together in their new home. Also, Rachel’s dad had passed away on a past December so this was a special way to replace that memory with new happy ones.

Rachel and Dan were focused on keeping the day laid back and enjoying the time with family and friends (yes! that’s what it’s all about!) and did not want a big show of a wedding. Mission accomplished!

Hahaha! The champagne was too small and didn’t spray like we wanted… so Dan decided to pour a little something for his homies instead. Congratulations again guys! I loved laughing and sharing your special day with you!
