The sky is the limit… (or should I say the ICE??) for this Southwick MA senior session! This is the 2nd time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing a graduating senior in this family. I photographed Molly previously, but this time it was her brother Nolan’s turn!
Let me start by saying, it’s never too late to schedule a senior portrait session. I typically recommend upcoming Seniors to schedule their portraits over the summer going into their senior year, but Nolan was waiting to get his braces off to showcase his new smile – which led us to Spring of his graduation year. No biggie! He used the school photographer to take care of his yearbook photo, but these images will be the ones his parents will display in their home.
A Passion for Hockey
One of the things I talk about in my Senior Session Guide is “What’s Your Passion?” I like to incorporate the things that make you you! I want to know what you are passionate about so we can come up with a creative way to showcase it in your photos. It might be playing an instrument, fishing, riding horses, sports, drawing, cars or anything else you can think of! Whatever your passion is, it’s worth highlighting! It will make your Senior portraits all the more meaningful.
Nolan’s passion is Hockey, so it was only appropriate to start at Amelia Park Arena.
For Nolan’s outdoor portion of his session, I suggested a fun spot I’ve always wanted to photograph – a graffiti wall! I love color and this wall is full of it! I’d say it makes a pretty awesome backdrop wouldn’t you?
Congratulations on your Senior year Nolan! Good Luck at High Point!!
