#58: Make an Album with Our Wedding Photos ~ Check!

#58 is complete! Checkity Check! I am SOOOOOOO excited about our wedding album!! I am in love with it! It’s only been 5 years and has been a goal on the 101 in 1001 list TWICE… but better late than never right?!

My husband & I had a destination wedding & were married in Aruba in November of 2009. We had 35 of our closest family & friends join us for what was the most magical day of our lives! Nothing has ever compared to that trip (and we travel a lot!). One of my most vivid memories is of the first night we arrived. We were walking down the beach with our group of best friends. Rick & I looked at each other and were just fill with love & amazement that all these important people in our lives traveled so far for us. It was an incredible feeling I’ll never forget. If you know us, you’ll agree that Aruba is our home away from home. It’s where we took our first vacation together as a couple. It’s where we got engaged. It’s where we got married. And it’s the first plane ride/vacation Cailyn has ever been on! 🙂 We try to make it a habit to get there once a year and we look forward to many many more years of memories there. We’re currently working on our 9th trip for our 5yr Anniversary & #84 on the 101 in 1001 list!

Since we had a pretty casual beach wedding, I did a sand colored linen cover with thin pages & rounded corners. I wanted a simple, sophisticated wedding album, but not too traditional. This album is PERFECT! It was totally worth the wait! Not going to lie though… I pretty much tore into the box when I found that it had arrived on my door step today! 😉

I opted for thinner pages because I didn’t want the album to be too heavy. I think they are a perfect thickness for what I was looking for. Still sturdy without too much bulk.
