One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer is getting an email from a past bride telling me she’s expecting! A few months ago, during the middle of lock-down when nothing seemed to be going right in the world, I got one of those emails from a past bride, Meghan. A new baby, YAAY! Finally, something good to come out of 2020!!! HAHA! Meghan let me know that she and her husband Nico were expecting their first baby in September and were looking for me to capture their maternity session over the summer. Yes please!!
Meghan and Nico are one my favorite wedding couples ever!!! I photographed their wedding back in 2016 at St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT. And now here we are, 4 years later photographing this gorgeous Momma and Dad-to-be! When it came for location suggestions, I had a few places in mind. After recently doing a few sessions near a local river, I just knew it would be the perfect location for Meghan and Nico too.
Picture Perfect Maternity Session
I have a few maternity gowns in my wardrobe for clients to borrow, but Meghan found this gorgeous off-the-shoulder dress on her own (etsy!!). She looked absolutely stunning and was totally glowing! And she even brought a cute hat to accessorize her look for some of the shots. I love when clients take the time to prep for their session! Whether it be a maternity, engagement or a family session, there are a few simple things you can do before your session to help ensure you love your images. To read these tips, check out my recent blog post Prepping for your Photo Session!
Congratulations on your expected little one Meghan and Nico! I can’t wait to photograph her after she arrives!
