One of my favorite times of year is Senior season! And Natalie’s Granby Memorial High School Senior portrait session didn’t disappoint! Well, sort of….
Sometimes I think Mother Nature hates me. Or at least works against me for particular clients. It’s no secret that this summer’s weather has been a somewhat wet one and that makes things difficult with scheduling clients. I am a natural light photographer, which means I shoot outdoors and use the sun as my light source. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, it screws everything up!
The day of Natalie’s scheduled session was looking a little tricky towards the evening, so we managed to bump up the session time to try to beat potential rain. Of course things shifted at the last minute and the rain sprinkles began right as we were arriving to the park to start her session. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
We decided to push through – umbrellas & all – and still managed to get some great senior portrait session images! Hooray!
Senior Portrait Session Reveal Day!
The 2nd part of a Senior Portrait session is the Reveal day. It’s when my clients get to come into my studio and see all of the amazingness from their session! I print roughly 40 image proofs and have them displayed on my “Reveal Wall”. It’s one of my favorite parts of a session because I just love seeing all of the images up on the wall together.
Low and behold, here comes Hurricane Henri on Natalie’s reveal day. Seriously?! Man, we can’t catch a break here! Again, we pushed through, bumped up her scheduled time and she ended up picking some great images for her album.
Thanks Natalie & family for going with the flow and rolling with the punches! Check out some of our favorites below!
Congratulations Natalie on your Senior Year!
