When my bride Erica asked if I would travel to The Cape to shoot a beach engagement session with her fiancé Michael, umm YUP!!! I would never say no to a beach engagement session, especially one at The Cape! Erica’s parents have a house at The Cape so it’s always been a special place for her. I’m so glad I could help capture this special time in her life at such a memorable place!
Perfect Day for a Beach Engagement Session
So I’ve mentioned it in other posts but the weather has been unkind this Fall. I’ve had to reschedule so many sessions thanks to the crazy amount of rain/wind we’ve had. Erica and Michael’s session was originally scheduled for a Saturday evening around sunset but surprise surprise, the forecast called for rain. SIGH. The Cape is about a 3 hour drive for me, so this shoot was something I had to plan ahead for and couldn’t just reschedule to a weeknight. Plus, I had convinced my husband to come with me so we could actually have some time away from the kids. AHHH!!!!
Luckily we were both able to reschedule the shoot to Sunday morning… when the weather would be clear. It was a bit chilly but the sun was out and the sky was gorgeous! We met at Rock Harbor Beach in Orleans, MA, one of Erica’s favorite spots! It’s the perfect beach for an engagement session… sea grass, a rock wall, shallow blue water and tons of tall grass. We got so many great shots!
It was great getting to know you Erica and Michael! I can’t wait to shoot your wedding at The Lord Jeffrey Inn next September!
If you’re searching for someone to capture your engagement (and wedding!!) photos, contact me! I’d love to chat!
