When I first met Ashley & Chris, they were planning an intimate wedding at a little bed & breakfast in the Berkshires. But after a few bumps in the road, they decided on a new location and I was super happy that they wanted to take me along! The Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, VT. GAH! A Vermont Wedding!! I.WAS.STOKED.
Even though it was April & still a little chilly up north, there is just no mistaking the beauty of Vermont! Ashley & Chris rented the Mountain Aire Lodge for their wedding & it was absolutely magical! Since I was married on the beach in Aruba with only 35 guests, I am a sucker for intimate, out-of-the-box type weddings. Chris & Ashley’s wedding was so my style. They wanted to see each other prior to the ceremony. SCORE! and at a Vermont covered bridge! DOUBLE SCORE! They were married in front of the lodge’s fireplace & did a nice, casual sit down dinner afterward. I was able to pull them away for a few extra photos right around sunset, so we went down by the lake where the view of the mountains was just stunning. We trekked through the mud to get these photos! THROUGH THE MUD! Ashley even ditched her pantyhose at one point! Thank god they were troopers! and so was my assistant, Brooke. We must have been a sight. I was barefoot, up to my ankles in mud and my feet were FREEZING! but it was soooo worth it! I’ll do whatever it takes to get the shot! Plus, it’s a fun story to tell later! 😉 LOVED Ashley & Chris! LOVED Vermont! and LOVED the Mountain Top Inn! Here are some of my favs!!
