Ashley Reservoir is a great location pick for couples wanting a woodsy setting with some water in the mix too. It did NOT disappoint for Casey and Brett’s late fall engagement session. We even found a bit of color still on the trees!
Golden Hour – My Favorite
Can you say “golden hour?!” The pockets of light streaming in through the trees is my favorite lighting scenario. Give me all of that warm sunlight! It makes for the most dreamy images! Especially for engagement sessions.
In photography, the term “golden hour“ refers to the period of time shortly before sunset (or after sunrise), during which the sunlight is warmer and softer than when the Sun is higher in the sky. It’s my favorite and that is why I typically like to schedule my engagement sessions during that timeframe.
Let’s hear it for the 2022 couples
Casey and Brett are one of my first 2022 couples! (WOOOHOOOO!) They’ll be getting married at The Ranch, another favorite of mine. Though it seems far off, it will be here before we know it. Their Ashley Reservoir engagement session was the perfect way to forget the awful 2020 wedding season (if we can even call it that) and get me excited for the 2021 and 2022 wedding seasons! Here are a few of my favorites from their session…
