It’s been awhile since I’ve featured a venue, but I had to bring light to The Hinterland, an up and coming wedding venue located in Avon CT! One of the perks of this rustic barn venue is that it’s budget-friendly! The owner, Kristyn LeBarron, has been in the Bridal Industry for over 8 years and sees the need in the industry for a wedding venue and event space that allows brides to enjoy their big day, even under all the regulations. The Hinterland is a place you can come to and have options. They’ve taken an old barn and turn it into a magical space to enjoy your wedding!

The Hinterland is not your typical Wedding Venue. The Barn is a 2100 sq ft traditional barn with a wedding flair. Allowing for 82-100 max guests and room for flexibility using the outdoor areas. The Hinterland lays on 5 acres of land owned by the Miller’s Farm.

Why I love this venue

I had the pleasure of getting to work at The Hinterland last October in the midst of fall foliage season. It’s a great little barn venue perfect for a more intimate wedding. It may be smaller in size compared to other local barn venues, but it packs a lot of punch into it’s features. There’s plenty of outdoor space for a ceremony setup, food trucks, and for photos! Barn weddings are totally my jam and the Hinterland’s laid back vibe combined with rustic fences and outdoor space on a smaller scale is absolute perfection!

I LOVE the look of this barn!

The reception space has the potential to be as simple or as elegant as you desire!

There’s a great little spot on top of the hill for photos that overlooks the horse fields below.

But my all time favorite spot was out front!
