Granby High School Senior Session

While I do have plenty of location suggestions for a Granby High School Senior, I love it when clients choose locations that are meaningful to them. Nicholas chose to do his senior photos at home. And with an amazing property like this, who wouldn’t?! There are so many perfect spots for photos!

The 2nd thing I love is when a client incorporates props. In this case, not a passion, but pets! Similar to his sister who incorporated her horse (check out her photos HERE), we incorporated the family pup into Nick’s photos!

Making Your High School Senior Portraits More Personal

Choosing a meaningful location and incorporating things (props, passions, or pets!) into your portraits will definitely make your images more personal. I also highly recommend choosing outfits that suit your style. Typically I suggest a casual outfit and then also something that is a bit more dressier. The key is just making sure you are comfortable in whatever you are wearing so that your personality shines through!

Make sure your clothes are clean, well-fitted, and ironed. And don’t forget the shoes!! Shoes are a GREAT way to also show off your style!

WHAT TO AVOID:

Wearing all black or neon colors

Wearing all black or neon colors

Clothing that doesn’t fit well

Clothing that is too similar to your skin tone

Fabrics that overly wrinkle (hangars are critical!)

Dirty sneakers (nothing kills a great outfit faster than dirty shoes)

Here are a few of my favorites from Nick’s session…
