I can’t think of a better venue than Bloom Meadows to kick off my wedding season!! If you haven’t heard of Bloom Meadows yet, that’s probably because it’s practically brand new! The owners Sarah and Greg just opened this breathtaking venue in 2017! It’s perfectly located in the heart of Berkshire County, with a gorgeous private rustic barn surrounded by a beautiful landscape of mountains, streams, and open meadows. Keri and Brady’s wedding was my third time shooting at this amazing venue, and I couldn’t have been happier with how the day went! It definitely helped that they had the most perfect Spring day!
The Happy Couple
Keri and Brady’s story goes back 14 years to their senior year of high school where a friend set them up. They quickly found out that they had a ton in common, like their love for hiking, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors! After years of dating, Brady proposed to Keri while on a hike at the gorgeous Cliff Walk in Newport, RI. Awwwwww!
Bloom Meadows – The Perfect Location
Keri and Brady love the outdoors – it’s their sacred place. They knew they wanted a wedding venue that was close to home and encompassed their passion for the outdoors. Brady has spent countless hours hunting at Mount Greylock in the Berkshires, and after hearing about nearby Bloom Meadows they went for a tour. Despite the fact that the venue wasn’t even finished being built, they fell in love with it and booked their wedding! The location of Bloom Meadows was absolutely breathtaking to them and they knew they’d be able to comfortably accommodate all 175 of their guests for their outdoor ceremony.
The Details
The wedding date Keri and Brady chose was May 5th – Cinco-de-Mayo! Their overall wedding style was what I would call rustic-bohemian but somehow Keri managed to incorporate super classy hints of a cinco-de-mayo theme – like fresh lime margaritas and tequila-filled shot glasses for placeholders (SO awesome!). The simple rustic décor they chose was absolutely beautiful and fit the venue perfectly. Keri and her bridesmaids had the most gorgeous bouquets by Nancy Bishop Floral Design and the floral centerpieces, made by a family friend, flawlessly complemented each other.
Laughter & Love
Keri & Brady have amazing family and friends who all know how to have a good time. Laughter was a huge part of the day! The bridal party entrance was the absolute best – they all came in wearing these hysterical mouth piece cut-outs and guests were dying of laughter. The cake cutting ceremony didn’t disappoint either. Apparently Brady has been waiting 14 years to smash cake in Keri’s face! She handled it well and of course the retaliation between the two were probably the funniest shots of the night!
While the laughter was definitely abundant, so was the love! Keri and Brady have been together a looooooong time and their love for one another was impossible not to feel! And let’s not forget their pups Bo & Gunner. They were able to make an appearance at the wedding, so of course we took a few photos of the adorable family of 4!
Wow! What an incredible wedding to kick off my season!! Shout out to all of the amazing vendors who helped make Keri & Brady’s wedding one to remember!
