Who is the creator behind the KiSS?

Pamela has had artistic talent since before she could even walk. Her whole life she knew that she would make something out of her creativity and artistic abilities! Out of high school, Pamela joined the Navy and served our country for six years. She attributes her discipline, time management skills, and attention to detail to her time spent serving in the Navy. After a six month deployment and being away from her, at the time, one-year-old daughter, she knew her responsibilities as a mother came first. It was then she received an honorable discharge, and decided to get a degree in Sonography and become an Ultrasound Tech.

What inspired KiSSandMaKeUp to begin?

In a true “everything happens for a reason” moment, Pam found her passion while putting herself through college. She began working behind the makeup counter which allowed her to express those creative abilities she had since birth in a way she truly loved. Not only did she love the transformation of makeup, but she also loved meeting new people and learning their stories. The rest is history! Working behind the counter allowed her to find her passion and hone her craft, all while paying for school.

While she still works as an ultrasound tech, Pamela’s passion is makeup. She continues to refine her skills by attending seminars, taking classes and keeping herself educated on the latest trends. She keeps her makeup kit stocked with all the best brands, including MAC, NARS, Bobbi Brown, Kett, Make Up For Ever, and much, much more. Her work has been featured on NBC Connecticut, Oxygen magazine, and in bridal blogs like Reverie Gallery, Connecticut Bride, Style My Bridal, and The Westchester Wedding Planner just to name a few.

Your favorite part about weddings?

Pam’s favorite part of doing makeup for weddings is getting to know her clients. The details! Hearing about how her brides met their fiance, how he proposed and then seeing all the details of the wedding day come together. Especially seeing the bride’s in her dress, with her flowers.

What is your mission?

We take pride in knowing that we make our brides feel comfortable. We set ourselves apart because it’s not just about hair and makeup. More than anything, it’s about the experience. It’s about being punctual, showing up on time and prepared. Our goal is being professional yet still personable. Especially, it’s about being efficient by creating and sticking to a timeline. A huge role is being a problem solver and going above and beyond on one of the most important days. We lead with integrity and always encourage other female entrepreneurs to live their dream.

We love working with KiSSandMaKeUp for so many reasons. The authenticity her artists bring to the table are next to none. Because of their remarkable reputation, I am so excited any time we are on the same wedding. The talent of Pamela’s team of hair and makeup professionals make my job a breeze when my photographs barely need any editing!
