Kristen and Jeff’s winter Berkshires maternity session was magical! I sure do LOVE a good snowy session with beautiful sunlight! (I also love a gorgeous fall maternity session like this one, but I digress!)

Community over Competition

Kristen and Jeff are a husband and wife photography team out in the Berkshires. They posted in one of my local photography groups about needing a maternity photographer for the month of January and I threw my name into the pot. Because as I said above, I love a good snowy session! Especially a maternity session. Plus it’s always great to meet other professionals in my field.

With all the talent out there, I was a bit surprised when Jeff actually reached out to book (but so happy he did!) It’s always flattering when other photographers choose you to capture their special moments and sometimes it can be a little nerve wracking too (the pressure is real!). But to be honest, as soon as I showed up for Kristen and Jeff’s session we basically just hung out as friends and I did my normal thing as I do with all my clients. Super casual, super cold, but lots of fun! Plus that sunlight at the end is what it’s all about.

The AMP Client Closet

Wardrobe for maternity shoots can be tricky. Gowns are pricey and not always an investment you want to make for something you will probably only wear once. I get it, which is why I have a client closet for just this reason! I try to have everything on hand to make a shoot as seamless as possible, so be sure to ask about the client closet options before your shoot!
