During the warm weather months, I don’t have much time to blog. Things are busy in alisonmarie photography world and unfortunately the blog always seems to take a back seat. Now that 2017 has arrived, one of my goals is to publish a blog post every Friday over the next few months (& try my hardest to keep it going!). “Photo Friday” if you will! 🙂 Let’s start with Kyla & Tommy!

Kyla & Tommy were married in December 2015. They did something small with family/friends & not a lot of frills. I wouldn’t call it an elopement, but it wasn’t a big wedding with the beautiful dress Kyla had bought & was dying to wear! They booked me for their wedding celebration they had planned for October 2016 & wanted to do a couples shoot beforehand. We worked together to create Kyla’s vision for this shoot… and I LOVE these images! I remember Kyla saying “Have you ever had a couple do things backwards?? Get married & THEN do an engagement session??” I just laughed. There is nothing wrong with doing a couples shoot after you are “officially” married. Like I always say, there are no rules! & being a married couple is just as special!

Sadly, their wedding celebration got put on hold for the time being. Kyla is going to have wait a little bit longer to put on that beautiful dress. But for a very exciting & wonderful reason of course… Kyla & Tommy are expecting a baby girl in March!! Yay!! I’m so happy & excited for you two!! And also glad I was able to capture these special moments of the two of you as a couple before you become a family of three! Congratulations & much love from alisonmarie photography!
