Last week I had the pleasure of traveling to the Westin Dawn Beach resort & spa in St Maarten to capture Rachael & Gerald’s wedding. Traveling is one of my absolute favorite things to do, so when Rachael contacted me to possibly shoot her destination wedding, I jumped at the chance! My husband & I were also married on a tropical island, so I absolutely love this type of intimate wedding. How can you go wrong with sun, sand, amazingly turquoise waters… & tropical drinks (can’t forget the drinks!)?! It makes my little photographer heart happy!

We had some gloomy weather & rain the first few days we were there, which was a bit of a bummer since Brooke & I arrived a few days early to get some relaxation in. But it was like the weather gods were looking out for Rachael & Gerald & it was all blue skies for their special day! Rachael looked absolutely stunning in her princess gown & I loved the way the mint & coral colors came together with the ocean & beach. Beautiful!
