Nothing but warm kisses, laughter & love
Kara & Brian’s engagement session was totally not planned as a Christmasy shoot. It just sort of all worked out that way! Nonetheless, I am excited to share their wintery tree farm engagement session on the blog today!
Kara & Brian are currently living out of state, but they were visiting family for the holidays. We made sure to schedule their engagement session while they were going to be here. We discussed the idea of a tree farm for a location because we really wanted there to be a little bit of color in the background. Just in case we were left with a stark, snowless landscape, that sometimes December can bring. I knew that my favorite tree farm, a small and cozy hidden gem in Westfield, would be the perfect fit for their session.
Unexpected weather leads to Christmas magic!
Mother Nature likes to give me a hard time, so of course we ended up with a sleet/freezing rain/snow mix on our original scheduled date. With the limited timeframe that they were home, we were only able to do the shoot on Christmas Eve morning.
A tree farm? Snow? Christmas Eve? AND a red dress?! It was like Christmas, all wrapped up in this cute little package that was Kara & Brian. It was really wonderful spending the morning with them & being able to do what I love on Christmas Eve… Merry Christmas to me! Seriously, how adorable are they?! Christmasy or not, I am gushing over this session! I looooove the pop of red Kara’s dress brings to their images. Warm blanket snuggles, eskimo kisses, lots of laughter, and maybe a silly face or two made this tree farm engagement one of my favs!
I am looking forward to their wedding at the Ranch this coming August!
