Western MA Fall Engagement - Alison Marie Photography

I’m starting off the season with this Western MA Fall Engagement session in Russell, MA! I love everything about photographing couples in the fall. It’s my favorite time of year!

Karyssa & Chris’ original plan was to get married in 2023, but with Chris’ unexpected news of being deployed for a year, they had to push their wedding back to 2024. The advantage is, we had lots of time to plan their fall engagement session! Fall is always crazytown for photographers, so I’m glad Karyssa got on my calendar early.

Planning Your Engagement Session

When planning your Engagement session, it’s important to figure out which season you’d like to have your session. And if it’s Fall, definitely plan ahead! Everyone wants fall photos and your best bet to get a prime date is to plan early. My next suggestion is to incorporate things that will personalize your session. Choosing a location that the two of you frequently visit is great. And I also love when my couples bring a bottle of champagne, a blanket, beers, whatever it is that makes you feel comfortable and like yourselves! If the two of you are doing things or are at a location that is familiar/normal for you, it will make you feel more relaxed and your personalities as a couple will shine through.
