Becca & Joey's Patriotic Engagement | Noble View ~ Russell, MA - New England Wedding & Boudoir Photographer

Happy 4th of July everyone!! What better way to celebrate the 4th then by posting this patriotic engagement session and honoring a military man and his bride-to-be!

Becca and Joey are truly an all American couple – Joey is in the army and Becca is a teacher! Local to the area, they graduated high school together but didn’t find each other until Joey was home on leave after graduating from basic training. Not long after they started talking, they realized they were going to have to try a long distance relationship… gulp! Have no fear because this long distance story ends well! After 2 ½ years of making it work, Joey popped the question on Christmas Eve 2016!

A Star Spangled Engagement

Working around Joey’s leave, we picked July 3rd to take their summer engagement photos at Noble View in Russell, MA. Noble View is a great place to have an outdoor engagement session! I often recommend it to my Western MA couples. I’ve done a ton of sessions there over the years so I’m very familiar with where the best spots are for portraits. There are beautiful fields, tons of greenery, an old barn and an amazing view!!!

The day of their session, it was pretty hot and muggy. We were able to walk around to all my favorite spots, despite the weather… and the bugs. OH MY the bugs! I wasn’t really expecting the entire population of bugs in Russell to come out during our sunset shoot, but they were there too! Becca and Joey were troopers, they put up with the bugs (and the heat) and we ended up with some pretty awesome images! You’d never know some major bug editing had to take place!!

I love that Becca and Joey wanted to include some shots with him in his military uniform. We included the Flag in a few as well, and the results were truly patriotic! These two were just married on June 23rd at Valley View Farm and I can’t wait to share some images from their wedding in a few weeks! Congratulations again you guys!!
