Bloom Meadows, Hancock, MA | Featured Wedding Venue

There’s a good reason why Bloom Meadows is quickly becoming a top wedding destination in Berkshire County. It’s absolutely breathtaking!! Since opening its doors in 2017, I’ve already had the pleasure of shooting here quite a few times. I fell in love with the venue before it was even finished when I hosted a photography workshop here with my good friend Brooke (Bloom Meadows Wedding Workshop). They were still in construction mode at the time, but Brooke & I knew without a doubt that we wanted to host our workshop in their space & we were beyond thrilled with the final product.

Bloom Meadows is an event barn perfectly located in the heart of the Berkshires, Hancock, MA. It’s a space that is bright, inviting and timeless. Surrounded by 70 acres of a beautiful landscape of mountains, open meadow, streams, and trails. This unique property is designed to be an all-inclusive spot for wedding couples. To find out more about Bloom Meadows, we asked the owners Greg and Sarah a few questions…

What sets Bloom Meadows apart from other wedding venues?

I think the atmosphere we provide at Bloom Meadows is a big draw for our couples. We don’t limit couples to a 5-hour package type deal. You either have the full day or the full weekend here.  We focus almost all of what we do on making sure that the Bride and Groom (and their families!) can just relax and enjoy their wedding day.  We spend a lot of time in the background making sure everything the couple needs for their wedding goes smoothly. This allows for our couples to not stress about the details and just enjoy their time with friends and family.

What is one thing you want potential brides and grooms to know about Bloom Meadows?

When you book your wedding or event at Bloom Meadows, you can relax.  We are going to take care of you.  While we are not full wedding planners, we make sure our couples are aware of any potential challenges with their desired plans for the day.  We are in contact with all of your vendors and make sure they are all on the same page.  We have even picked up last minute linens and dishware the morning of a wedding after someone’s supplier forgot a few items. Mistakes happen, and you can’t predict everything, but we are on site and involved to make sure any issues are resolved as soon as possible.  This allows our couples to just enjoy their days without unnecessary stress.

What is your favorite part about hosting weddings at Bloom Meadows?

We really enjoy meeting new people, getting to be a part of their lives and learn their story.  We have found that we really “click” with many, if not all, of the couples here at Bloom. Just having the opportunity to be a part of one of the best days of someone’s life, really lets you go home feeling good about what you do. It’s very rewarding work in that sense.

What inspired you to open your own wedding destination?

There are a couple different reasons why we decided to get into this line of business.  Firstly, we wanted to establish a business that would allow us to work together and spend time together, surprisingly enough, we actually like each other! The second biggest influence was probably Sarah’s experience in the wedding industry through photography. This gave us a unique view into the Berkshire County (and surrounding areas), wedding scene and realized there was a need for this type of venue in Northern Berkshire County. The final piece of the pie was that we both have a lot of varied interests, and this business lets us explore most of them.  Between the creativity, outdoor work and opportunity to meet a lot of new people, it really lets us do the types of work that we enjoy doing.

What is the most memorable wedding you’ve ever hosted?

This is a hard question to answer, as a newer business we have had a lot of “firsts” as you can imagine and most of the weddings are still fresh on our minds. We have had some really fun celebrations but I have to say our most memorable wedding was ours, back in September 2016.  Bloom wasn’t even finished yet, we had a full on construction theme going on with concrete floors, and plywood ceilings. It was so much fun! Click here to see the wedding video.

What other types of events do you host?

While weddings are our main source of business right now we also do corporate events and retreats. It is a great place for larger family gatherings too.
