It’s hard for me to believe this but I’ve been shooting weddings for almost 10 years, holy crap! I love all weddings (especially an outdoor ceremony and reception!!) but family weddings are the best! So when my husband’s cousin got engaged and asked me to be their photographer, UMMM YUP!!! Kelly and Scott are super laid back and super fun, so I’d been looking forward to this wedding all Summer! Kelly’s parents own a lake house where the family spends a lot of time. When it came time to plan the wedding, they knew it would be the perfect location for their outdoor ceremony!

First Look

Kelly & Scott opted to do a First Look, which I always recommend doing if you’re not against breaking old traditions. You can read more about the benefits of a First Look here. Kelly looked absolutely stunning and by the look on Scotts face, he had the same thought. The couple has an adorable 1 year old (almost 2!) daughter who stole the limelight from both her parents when she arrived. Look at this little cutie!!!

Lakeside Ceremony

June 30^th was a scorcher… 90+ degrees! The sun was out the entire day, which made for some super sticky and sweaty conditions, but it didn’t matter. Kelly and Scott had their beautiful outdoor ceremony on Congamond Lake in Southwick, MA. Luckily, for the guests (and the photographer!) there was a decent amount of shade in the yard, so much better for outdoor shots than full sun! The lake in the background was absolutely gorgeous, you couldn’t help but feel relaxed while you listened to the exchange of vows.

Party Time at Bliss Farm

After a brief lakeside toast, the wedding party moved to the beautiful Bliss Farm in Granville, MA. Kelly & Scott chose Bliss Farm because they could make it their own by decorating it how they wanted and it totally fit their vibe – laid back & relaxed! Plus, the venue is so spacious, it could easily accommodate their almost 200 guests. Dinner was held outdoors under the Farm’s large white tent. Tables were decorated with rustic tablescapes complete with a variety of fresh flowers & herbs. After dinner, the party moved into the gorgeous rustic old barn, where the dance floor and bar are located.

Later in the day, we got some amazing sunset shots of this beautiful couple, their wedding party and their families. What an amazing day. I’m so happy I got to capture your special day for you Kelly & Scott! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness together!
