May & Wilden’s wedding brought me to Deere Creek Farm in Granby, MA for the first time, and I LOVED it! As a photographer who loves being outdoors, a ceremony between apple trees followed by a tented reception was right up my alley.
However, what stood out most was how cozy the entire property felt. It was beautiful, welcoming, and somewhere I could immediately picture photographing more weddings.

An Emotional Ceremony Between the Apple Trees
May & Wilden exchanged their vows between the farm’s apple trees, but it was their words to one another that made this ceremony unforgettable. By the time they finished, there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd!
Adding to the personal connection, Wilden’s brother officiated the ceremony. Even he found himself choked up! Having someone so close to them lead this part of their day made an already emotional moment feel even more meaningful.
While the setting was beautiful, the reactions are what I’ll remember most. These are the moments I love to capture! The expressions on a couple’s faces and the people around them feeling every word.

A Tented Reception on the Farm
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a tented reception. This gave the next part of their day a different setting while keeping everyone together on the property.
The tent also complemented the farm’s barn setting beautifully. For couples considering an outdoor wedding, May & Wilden’s celebration offers a little inspiration for combining an orchard ceremony with a reception under a tent.

My First Wedding at Deere Creek Farm
Photographing a new venue is always exciting. Although I hadn’t worked at Deere Creek Farm before, May & Wilden’s wedding gave me a chance to experience it firsthand—and it left a great impression!
What I appreciated most was the combination of natural surroundings and a cozy atmosphere. If you’re searching for an outdoor barn wedding venue in Western Massachusetts, I highly recommend scheduling a visit to see whether it fits what you’re envisioning.
Meanwhile, the photos below will give you a look at how May & Wilden made the space their own!
