Back in 2013 when my daughter turned one, we did a Lemonade Birthday session for her 1st birthday. Now that she’s turning ten, I thought it would be fun to recreate a NEW and IMPROVED Lemonade Birthday session! She’s getting older and will only humor her photographer mom for so long, so I’m taking advantage while I can!

Gorgeous Sunlight for the win!

I totally threw this together one evening while the sunlight was looking gorgeous. If you follow me, you know I’m all about that golden hour sunlight! And sometimes some of my favorite shoots are the ones that I didn’t put a whole lot of pressure on myself to make it perfect. I picked up some bags of lemons from the grocery store, grabbed a few props from my studio (and thankfully I still had the banner from her 1st birthday session!), made a quick batch of lemonade, and out into my yard we went!

I cannot believe a whole decade has gone by already! When you first have children, everyone always says how quickly time flies and they are not lying!! Seems like just yesterday she was born. I can’t wait to see where the next 10 years takes her! Think she’ll let me do another Lemonade Birthday session on her 20th??!! (Ha! yeah right!)
