Sara & Matt’s intimate Maternity session was the best of all of my world’s combined! A little bit of boudoir, a little bit outdoors, and some pretty fantastic light.

It was HOT the day of their session. If you’ve ever been pregnant you know that sweltering in 90+ degree heat with a big ol bump isn’t the most fun. Sara wanted to do a portion of her maternity session in my (air-conditioned) studio, which was great because we got to incorporate a little bit more of my moody, boudoir style.

Once the sun went down a bit, we headed to one of my favorite river spots! I love this area because the river is always a little lower and we’re able to walk in the water to create some beautiful images. Plus the coolness of the water on our feet felt fantastic! ?

Sara & I worked together to create the ideal maternity session for her. We utilized outfits from both my client closet and ones that she brought, and we got a great variety of images by shooting both indoor and outdoors.
