Brooke (brookeellenphotography.com) & I have come a looooooong way in the past months. Lots of blood, sweat & tears went in to the planning & coordinating of this shoot. Organizing something like this is no small feat (so we learned!). Thank god we shared the work load because I don’t think I would have been able to do it without her. We pulled our resources together & made it happen! And it was all worth it. I am in LOVE with these images! I am so proud with the way everything turned out and could not be more impressed with seeing all of our hard work come together!
We had planned for the orchard to be in blossom at the time, but as mother nature would have it, she brought along some gusty winds that knocked most of the blossoms off only just days before. go figure. But I still could not ask for a more beautiful location. Lost Acres Orchard in Granby, CT was the perfect fit for our vision. For those of you that don’t know, they offer lunch on the porch from May through October, so go check them out & try some of their yummy eats!!
Flowers by Rebecca arranged some GORGEOUS flowers & bouquets for us. Rebecca’s work is always amazing, so I knew I had to get her on board for this shoot. I filled her in on the look we were trying to achieve & she worked her magic! Perfection!
Our Cassablanca blush dress & hair piece were provided by the team over at Stylish Impressions Bridal Boutique in Farmington, CT. I can’t thank them enough for letting us borrow such a beautiful gown! It fit our model bride “like a glove”! The lace detail & cap sleeves were just the right touch we were looking for.
Kim & Andrea over at It is What it is Vintage in Agawam, MA helped us with our vintage furniture. Brooke & I spent a morning with Kim over at their shop picking out pieces & details. Kim was so helpful & offered up so many ideas. If you love vintage pieces… they are your girls! Go check out their shop!
Will from Jackson & Connor, helped to style our model groom. He brought multiple shirts, pants, and lots of accessories so that we could see some different looks. I must say, our “groom” was looking pretty daper once Will was done!
The one & only Pam from KiSSandMaKeUp did makeup for us & her side kick, Amber from Hair by Amber gave our bride some romantic looking locks. Both ladies did such an amazing job making our already beautiful bride look stunning! I’d HIGHLY recommend both of them if you are looking for wedding hair & makeup for your big day!
We had some great vendors help us out with the smaller details for this shoot as well. The cake was provided by Lauren from Starla Mae’s Bowtique & Confections and the invitations were from Hadley Designs. Oh and don’t forget the delicious pie, macaroons & dried apple slices all provided by the Farm Kitchen at Lost Acres.
We had such an awesome group of vendors help us & we could not have done it without them. A HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!
Last but not least, a big Big BIG THANK YOU to my clients Laura & Ryan for being our model couple. They are the sweetest people you’ll ever meet & I am sincerely appreciative that they got on board to do this for us. Thanks for putting up with our crazy antics & silly photographer jokes guys! 😀
