SO MANY Western MA Senior Portraits this year!! Mostly girls, and I am here for it!
Senior Portraits is one of my favorite genres! I able to be creative with my shots, pick locations with great lighting (because I am a sucker for amazing sunlight!) and capture my subject during a very special milestone in their lives! And with a subject like Ryleigh, who wouldn’t love it?? She was a natural in front of my lens!
Ryleigh wanted a location with flowers and had settled on Grandmother’s Garden, but after I saw her inspiration photos, I knew Grandmother’s Garden wasn’t the right spot for her. I suggested one of my favorite locations and I am in LOVE with the results! Even though this location isn’t all about flowers, there are a TON of areas for great photos to give a variety of backgrounds. And we still got her flower field shots in there!
Other Important Things to Consider
While I do talk a lot about location, I think the two other important things when it comes to your senior portraits are wardrobe and attitude. Wardrobe is important because I want my subject to feel comfortable and confident in what they are wearing. If they are trying to be something they are not and they are uncomfortable, it will show in photos. Attitude is also important because I want my subject to be themselves! I want them to have fun! And I want to capture it all in a way that showcases this amazing time in their lives! I’m a very easy-going person and tend to be a little silly during a session, so I can generally work with even the most shy senior to capture great images.
