Andria & Dan | CT Elopement Portraits

Oh, my gosh, I was beginning to think Andria & Dan would never get the pictures they were dreaming of! We started out with one of my favorite outdoor elopement places, Bash Bish Falls. (Remember this gorgeous winter CT elopement??) I was so excited to capture some amazing foliage for their big day. It was going to be great! Until…Bash Bish closed. Ugh! (Well, they didn’t actually close, they just closed off the stairs down to the falls so you can’t get close anymore. womp womp.)

So, onto Plan B. Rolling with things and having back up plans is totally criteria for every photographer. We settled on Campbell Falls State Park. I have never been, but it seemed like a decent alternative to Bash Bish. Woohoo! This time we were going to get it done! Until…a member of the family came down with Covid. I swear, you guys, you can’t make this stuff up.

Third Time’s a Charm!

Andria & Dan didn’t want to put their big day off any longer (can you blame them?!), so they decided to have a ceremony in the bride’s grandmother’s back yard. Unfortunately, since it was out of state, I couldn’t be there to capture the day. But professional photos is what Andria had been planning for all along, so that’s what we were going to get! So the third time actually was a charm. We wound up capturing some special moments for Andria, Dan and their little guy at Devil’s Hopyard State Park in East Haddam, CT.

Andria finally got her dream pictures with all the outdoorsy vibes she was hoping for. I guess good things DO come to those who wait, since their photos turned out pretty magical.

Congratulations, Andria & Dan! I know the best is still ahead!
