Equestrian Senior Portraits | Granby CT

I do love me some equestrian senior portraits! In fact, I did some similar equestrian senior portraits the year before, which you can check out here. There’s something that is so natural about them. Mara agreed! She loves horses and animals in general and since she doesn’t love having her photo taken, having an animal by her side made her so much more relaxed. And if you know anything about me and my work, I am all about making sure my portrait sessions are relaxed and natural.

We got to do two locations – a horse farm in Granby and Lost Acres Orchard, which her family owns. (Local friends, it’s such a great spot!) Obviously, Lost Acres had special meaning for Mara and she knew she wanted to have some photos there. But some of my seniors don’t know where to start, and that’s totally okay also! I’m here to walk you through every step with wardrobe and location suggestions.

Speaking of wardrobe, can I just say that I loved, loved Mara’s red Converse!! So. Fun! And they paired really well with her mauve sweater and the maroon horse bonnet (Representing Granby’s school color WOOT!) Hair down, comfy sweaters and holding a pup all equal a fun, relaxed senior session for Mara.

Congratulations on a fantastic Senior Year!!
