After photographing countless couples, I’m here to help guide you – that includes what to wear for an outdoor elopement! You’ve found the perfect location, now it’s time to think about what to wear!
Gone are the days where you have to spend a ton of money on a traditional gown. Especially if you are eloping outdoors or having an intimate wedding. Online shopping sites like LuLus & Baltic Born have made wedding dress styles a bit more affordable.
Looks I Love
Lightweight & boho style gowns are my favorite! And they work for a variety of locations – Beach, Mountains, or your backyard!
You can find the above styles on LuLus.

Thinking Outside the Box
Just because you are getting married, it does NOT necessarily mean you have to wear traditional white or even a full length gown for that matter! You can wear anything you want! Anything that feels like you! Wear hiking boots if you plan to elope in the mountains. Wear cowboy boots if that’s your thing. Or even go barefoot if that’s what you want!
I’ve had brides wear white, pink, champagne, green, and even a red gown. Depending on the time of year and your location, sometimes that pop of color is exactly what you need!
Planning an elopement is fun and exciting! Make sure what you wear reflects your personality and your location. Happy Planning!
