Some places just feel like home—even if you don’t live there year-round. For Ali, Williamstown has always been one of those places. Growing up, she spent summers in the Berkshires with her aunt and uncle, creating memories that would eventually make it the perfect place to begin a new chapter with Nico.

Although the couple now calls Colorado home, there was never much question about where they wanted to say “I do.”

An Intimate Celebration Surrounded by Family

Ali and Nico planned exactly the kind of wedding that felt right for them.

Instead of a large, all-day celebration, they chose an intimate wedding with fewer than 75 guests. Their focus wasn’t on a packed timeline or elaborate details—it was simply about celebrating with the people they love most in a place that already held so many cherished memories.

Because their wedding day was intentionally smaller and more relaxed, five hours of photography coverage was the perfect fit. It allowed plenty of time to document the moments that mattered most. From getting ready and their heartfelt ceremony to family portraits, couple’s portraits, and the beginning of their reception. All without paying for coverage they didn’t need. A Backyard Filled with Meaning

Rather than choosing a traditional wedding venue, Ali and Nico exchanged vows on her aunt and uncle’s beautiful property in Williamstown.

Late May couldn’t have painted a prettier backdrop. The gardens were in full bloom, the trees were a vibrant green, and everything about the property felt peaceful and welcoming. It was the kind of setting that didn’t need much decorating because nature had already done the work.

One of my favorite things about backyard weddings is how personal they feel. Every corner holds a memory, and every detail reflects the people who call it home.

When the Rain Changed the Plan

Just as we were getting ready to begin portraits of Ali and her bridesmaids, spring weather decided to make an appearance.

Rain began to fall, and after a quick discussion, they made the decision to move the ceremony beneath the reception tent.

Instead of letting the weather steal the moment, they embraced the change. The ceremony felt even more intimate as everyone gathered together under cover, proving that a little flexibility can make for some of the most memorable moments of the day.

As luck would have it, the rain let up, giving us the opportunity to head back out for family portraits and photos of the newlyweds. The soft light after a spring shower created the perfect finishing touch to an already beautiful day.

An Evening at Mezze Bistro & Bar

The celebration continued with an intimate dinner at Mezze Bistro & Bar in Williamstown.

Before everyone sat down to enjoy the evening, we snuck away for a few more portraits of Ali and Nico before they joined their guests for cocktail hour and some incredibly heartfelt toasts.

It was the perfect ending to a wedding day that focused on what truly matters – Family, meaningful moments, and celebrating the beginning of their next chapter together.
