I have to say the Fall is definitely the busiest time of year for me… between weddings, family mini sessions, boudoir shoots, and engagement sessions, things can get a BIT crazy. I absolutely love it but I’m also kind of happy when winter hits and I can catch up on life! Becca and John were my very last engagement session of 2018. They wanted their winter engagement session to take place at a tree farm, which is great because I have the perfect secluded tree farm where I shoot all of my holiday mini sessions.
I don’t know if anyone remembers, but the weather this past October & November was a crapshoot, so I was super happy that we actually lucked out and got a pretty mild day. There was even still a little bit of snow on ground from a storm we got a few days prior. Score! (I love snowy pics!)
Relaxed & Natural Images
I had so much fun shooting with Becca & John! We were laughing and having a good time… which resulted in more relaxed, natural pictures for the two of them. One of the biggest reasons I recommend doing an engagement session is to get more comfortable in front of the camera. Whether you like the spotlight or not, you’re going to be the center of attention on your wedding day! Becca & John wanted an engagement session but sometimes couples aren’t interested in one. I always recommend doing one and I even include it in two of my wedding collections. You can read more about why I recommend not skipping an engagement session in my blog post 3 Reasons Why You Should Do an Engagement Session.
Becca and John are getting married this coming September at Bill Miller’s Castle in Branford, CT. It looks like an absolutely gorgeous venue, I can’t wait to shoot there! Thanks for the laughs Becca & John! I had so much fun getting to know you guys better and I can’t wait for your big day!
